Beautiful Hanbok. Stunning women, and photography.
If you have known me personally, and for awhile, you will find out that despite being Korean, I hate Korean Pop [K-Pop].
If you only know me through this Blog, you won’t know [the fact stated above ^], but you might have been able to figure out from my past posts that I am into Hip Hop.
There is no word in any language to describe my Pure Hatred for K-Pop. I would rather eat my own Heart than listen to K-pop.
I hate the fact that Korea’s Music Industry is mainly formed of bunch of talent-less people who call themselves “Artists” doing whatever the Big Music Producers tell them to do.
I especially hate it when people Link K-Pop with Korean Culture. Its one thing in my culture that I am ashamed of. If I was given the choice of Listening to K-Pop or Joining the North Korean Army and Forced to pick one, I would join the North Korean Army in a Heart beat. Thats how much I hate K-Pop.
Now why?
I think K-Pop artists [if you can call them an artist, which you can’t] are just Eye Candy with no Musical talent and decided to do music because of the Money. And since the industry is Controlled by large Record Companies destroys any creative means.
K-Pop is has no variety. Its always a group of very fit men in their early 20’s or group of very sexy and fit girls in their early 20’s. All of them have same styles of music and dance routine.

Plus, when they go out on a Variety or Talk show and asked to do a little performance for the audience, they always pick a short dance routine. Why? Because they can never reach High Vocal pitch that many great singers can easily do.
And since they can’t sing High Pitches, many groups have been mixing Rap in their songs. But that also doesn’t work, because Rapping isn’t as simple as saying things fast.
I have seen People on American Idol and Street Performers with better talent than some of so call K-Pop Artists.
Plus they don’t write their own music nor lyrics. They are just a pretty face you can look and admire. Many teen age girls look at their Female Idols and dream of Life of perfect body, fame and money. They look at their Male Idols and Dream of Dating a guy who has same body features as their Male Idols.
Of course, Men look at their Female Idols and Daydreams of dating one of them, or dating a girl who looks like them.
Ever since when did Music became about looks?
FACT: Not everyone is going to be Famous. Not Everyone is Good Looking. As I have stated before.
Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder.
Despite my Hatred for K-Pop, I am not an Unfair man. I am willing to look at it from a different point of view [That is afterall, one of my many Philosophies].
K-Pop, just like Anime, is a sort of Gateway to Korean Culture.
I was picking up my sister and her friends from a Karaoke Bar and they were talking about K-Pop. My sister’s friends consisted of 1 Korean 1 Chinese and 1 Hespanic girls. They were all huge fans of K-Pop and they were discussing how they would love to visit Korea. How they love Korean shows.
Despite my hatred for K-Pop, I have to admit that K-Pop has brought Global Interest in Korean Culture. And its not just the shows and music, her friends constantly asks my parents where they buy Korean Products and whatnot.
But I still maintain that Mainstream Korean Music Industry is Infested with K-Pop, with many great Hip Hop and Rock Musicians to struggle in the Background.
